Short-form reels. Long-form thinking underneath each one.

A small library of 60-second reels re-purposed from the editorial Karen has already published — the Sunday letter, the cornerstone blog pieces, and the First 90 Days field guide. Each card lifts from a single source issue; the script library below carries the voice-over for each reel so you can read the reframe a week after the algorithm has moved on.

Editorial is counsellor-led, not clinical. Every reel ties back to a Sunday letter or long-form piece Karen has stood behind in supervision — hormonal decisions still belong with your GP.

Sunday-letter reels. Short-form shorts that mirror a Sunday letter.

Script library

Each reel’s 60-second script.

Voice-over-ready, written to land the reframe in under a minute. Read the script first, the reel second; the script carries the editorial under the visual cut.

  1. Script · #1

    first-thirty

60-second script · the first thirty days

The first thirty days of perimenopause are quieter than the late ones. The cycle stops being predictable. Sleep depth shifts. The mood rally at 2am arrives. If those four signals line up, the body has been telling the story for a year before the GP conversation begins — the thirty-day screen is a triage protocol, not a diagnosis.

    the-47-shift

60-second script · what actually changes at 47

Forty-seven is the age the hot-flash arrives — but the change underneath has been running for years. The hormonal shift re-routes the internal landscape, and the unfinished project you were already carrying gets surfaced with it. The body is not breaking; it is asking for a different map. Sunday letter #001 is the first reading on that map.

  3. Script · #3

    the-mood-rally

    60-second script · the 2am mood rally

The 2am mood rally is hormonal AND relational. Hormonal, because the progesterone drop lifts the overnight floor of mood; relational, because the hour is when the relationship you have been negotiating all day finally speaks back. The counsellor-led lens does not replace the GP; it gives the GP the right handover.

Voices over the reel: The 2am mood rally.

  4. Script · #4

    identity-unfinished-project

60-second script · the unfinished project

Most midlife women were already carrying an unfinished project ten years before perimenopause arrived. The hormonal transition does not create the project; it surfaces it. Naming the project — not solving it — is the work the first ninety days asks for. The blog at midlife identity and perimenopause takes the read further.

Voices over the reel: The unfinished project at midlife.

  5. Script · #5

    first-90-days-tea

60-second script · first 90 days, a cup of tea

The First 90 Days is a three-part guide: what to track in the first thirty days, the clinical questions worth taking to your GP between days thirty-one and sixty, and the counsellor-led reframe for the days that follow. Each part is a screen — not a verdict. Drop your email at /guide/first-90-days and the PDF arrives the moment the form goes through.
